The Government of the State of São Paulo evaluates the possibility of changing the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model of Line 6-Laranja of the subway of São Paulo to resume works. The current model is full PPP, where private initiative is responsible for works, operation and maintenance. The alternative studied is a partial PPP, where the State builds the line and the private initiative is responsible for the purchase of trains, systems installation and operation.

Line 6 – Orange will connect Brasilândia, in the North area of São Paulo City, to São Joaquim Station, in the central region, in a 15.3 km and 15 station route.
