The President of the United States Joe Biden launched the Global Partnership for Intelligent Climate Infrastructure of the United States Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) on April 23, during the Summit of Leaders on Climate, the action brings together environmental quality projects that will be financed by the US government. The energy efficiency project to be carried out in Brazil with the National Association of Passenger Rail Operators (ANPTrilhos) is part of these environmental measures.

In his speech, Joe Biden explained that “nations that work together to invest in a cleaner economy will reap rewards for their citizens” and that the Global Partnership will create jobs and support the development of new and clean infrastructure in the United States’ partner countries.

Last month, ANPTrilhos signed an agreement with the USTDA to carry out an energy efficiency study and an asset management study for the Brazilian metro-rail sector. US$ 1.58 million, equivalent to over R$ 9 million, will be invested by the USTDA, which will contribute to improving the management of metro-rail networks throughout Brazil.

“We are very proud of this partnership with the USTDA, which values the Brazilian metro-rail sector, while also highlighting our country”, emphasizes the Executive Director of ANPTrilhos, Roberta Marchesi.
