The operator of trains in the Metropolitan Region of Porto Alegre, in southern Brazil, Trensurb, has completed the services to modernize the protection and control devices of the traction power supply network for its trains. The contracted company responsible for the execution was Siemens Mobility and the total value of the contract, signed in 2018, was R$ 3.47 million. The project included technological updating and standardization of components, in addition to the implementation of an integrated intertripping protection system in the entire traction power network.
