The Secretary of Metropolitan Transportation of the State of São Paulo, Clodoaldo Pelissioni, stated in an interview that the installation of CBTC (Communications-Based Train Control) should have the installation completed on Line 1-Blue in 2019 and Line 3-Red in 2020, both lines operated by Metrô de São Paulo. The system currently controls the trains used in Lines 2-Green, 4-Yellow, 5-Lilac and 15-Silver.
