In view of the growth in the number of passengers in the Fortaleza Metro, installed in the capital of the State of Ceará, in the Brazilian Northeast, the Companhia Cearense de Transportes Metropolitanos (Metrofor) has created a board of directors to prospect businesses and generate non-operating revenues – the Strategic Development Board (DDE).
The new administrative unit is led by the architect and town planner Giselle de Negreiros Secundino Frota.
The goal pursued by the company’s CEO Eduardo Hotz is to generate revenue through the mobilization of company assets, advertising in stations or commercial exploitation in passenger spaces, among other business possibilities. In this way, additional resources can be obtained for investment in the subway itself.
