The President of Companhia Paulista de Trens Metropolitanos (CPTM), Pedro Moro, received the first train of Line 13-Jade in China in early June. The train will board a special ship heading to Brazil, expected to arrive in August.
After CPTM testing, it will start operating on Line 13-Jade. In total, eight rolling stocks will be manufactured by the consortium formed by the Chinese company CRRC Qingdao Sifang and the Brazilian subsidiary of the Spanish company Temoinsa and should be sent to Sao Paulo by the end of this year.
The main differentials of this fleet, called 2500, are the small luggage compartments located above the seats and the specific space for large suitcases.
