The Board of Companhia do Metropolitano do Distrito Federal (Metrô-DF) approved the Metrô-DF Sustainability Policy, which serves the population of Brasília, capital of Brazil. The document presents the Company’s guidelines related to sustainable development in three dimensions: environment, economy and society.
The Sustainability Policy is aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which represent a global agenda adopted during the United Nations Summit on Sustainable Development, and also with the plans of the Federal District Government, since Brasília formally adhered to the 2030 Agenda, an action plan for people, planet and prosperity.
With the Policy, Metrô-DF becomes an active part in this process and commits to direct efforts to directly impact the objectives through some actions, such as:
