The president of the National Association of Passenger Rail Operators (ANPTrilhos), Joubert Flores, and the Association’s Executive Director, Roberta Marchesi, attended the 96th Metropolitan Railways Assembly and 100 years of Metro in Madrid from 16-18 October in Madrid, Spain. Joubert Flores is representative of Latin America in the UITP Metro Committee and gave a lecture at the event.
With the topic City of the Future, the UITP event featured a program addressing matters such as electro-mobility, digitization, integration between metropolitan transportation and mobility as a service (MaaS).
“The challenges posed to subway systems around the world are being discussed and we can see that while in Brazil we do not have the same level of development as European or Asian train and subway networks, the topics around public transport are the same. We are all together seeking to break new ground and gather good practices to improve the experience and quality of life of our passengers,”said ANPTrilhos Executive Director, Roberta Marchesi.
