Twelve years ago, on August 28, the National Association of Passenger Rail Operators – ANPTrilhos – was created with a great mission: to promote the development and improvement of rail passenger transport in Brazil.

Over these years, ANPTrilhos has been working to promote in Brazil the implementation of subways, trains, trams, monorails and aeromobiles, always adapted to the reality and size of our cities and metropolitan regions, becoming a reference in the defense of this sector and in the discussions involving the qualification of Brazilian public transport and urban mobility.

To advance with projects and leverage investments in this area, the Association has been contributing with government officials and legislators in discussions involving the formulation and improvement of public policies and regulations aimed at the sector. And it supports technical discussions and encourages the exchange of knowledge, whether through cooperation or professional training.

In the last two years, the sector has experienced its biggest crisis in history, imposed as a reflection of the world pandemic of Covid-19. And ANPTrilhos acted in an incisive way for the valorization and protection of the sector and its professionals.

And it is with a focus on the future that ANPTrilhos will remain committed to the pursuit of expanding the social, economic and environmental benefits that are generated by the operation and expansion of the metro-railway sector to all Brazilian cities and citizens.

ANPTrilhos, the union of the national metro-rail system in favor of Brazil and the mobility of all Brazilians!
