CCR Metrô Bahia, operator of the Salvador and Lauro de Freitas Metro System, in the state of Bahia, inaugurated the Campinas station and a 1.5km stretch of Section III of Line 1, in the Campinas de Pirajá district, in Salvador (capital of Bahia state).
With the inauguration, the Bahia’s metro adds up to 34km in length, two lines, 21 stations and nine integrated terminals, eight of which are managed by CCR Metrô Bahia. The subway transports around 350,000 people a day.
