With the aim of debating the future of passenger transport on rails in Brazil and contributing to the development of public policies aimed at urban mobility, the National Association of Transporters of Passengers on Rails will hold the second edition of the ANPTrilhos Mobility Forum, on the 27th. July 2022, in Brasília (DF).

“To meet the demands of rail passenger transport in the coming years, it will be necessary to define attractive conditions, linked to guarantees of investments for the private sector. Therefore, the creation of efficient regulation is essential. The Forum aims to provide an overview of the sector and bring together candidates to discuss proposals aimed at expanding and improving the rail passenger transport network in Brazil”, explains Roberta Marchesi, Executive Director of ANPTrilhos.

For the Chairman of the Board of Directors of ANPTrilhos, Joubert Flores, the way to efficiency is the integration of the transport system and the optimization of resources. “We have a situation of rapid urbanization in the country, which was not accompanied by the transport infrastructure, where the number of victims in traffic is alarming, resulting in high costs, including financial costs for society. Mobility is directly linked to GDP – Gross Domestic Product, because, with fast and quality transport, people will start using the system and will have more time to carry out leisure or study activities, for example, moving the economy”, he explains. .
