The Companhia Cearense de Transportes Metropolitanos, operator of the Metro and Light Vehicle systems in Ceará, in the Northeast of Brazil, performs 539 disinfection actions on trains every day, as a measure to combat the coronavirus. Before each trip, the trains undergo disinfection, always at the top stations of each line. And after the end of passenger travel, disinfection spraying is carried out on the internal regions of the entire train fleet.
The company also installed 70% gel alcohol dispensers on the Metro ans Light Rails systems, both inside trains and stations, and advises that all passengers do hand hygiene, before and after their trips.
