The City of Rio de Janeiro has begun the dynamic tests to prepare the operation of line 3, the last stretch expected in the VLT Carioca system, which operates the Light Rail Vehicle of downtown Rio de Janeiro. The new line will link Central do Brasil station to the Santos Dumont Airport, with 7-minute wait between trains. There will be three new stops and sections shared with lines 1 and 2, allowing the reduction of intervals to 3.5 minutes.
