The Government of the Federal District, in the capital of Brazil, has issued the bidding notice for the expansion of the Brasília subway, at the Samambaia branch. The project foresees another 3.67 km of line and two new stations. The works also include the construction of three viaducts, two of which are roadways and one railway; four pedestrian paths; and an energy substation. With the expansion of transportation on rails, the government estimates it will serve 10,000 more people a day.
New Stations – The Brasília Metro should inaugurate three new stations by the end of 2018: 106 South, 110 South and Estrada Parque.
