The Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES) authorized the contracting of R$ 1 billion in financing for the construction of the Metrofor Metro Line in the state of Ceará, linking the city center of Fortaleza to the Papicu neighborhood.
The East Line, when completed, will serve the main financial and commercial region of Fortaleza. It will be an underground subway line, with 12.4 km of track, 13 stations and expected demand of 400 thousand passengers per day.
