Research conducted by Instituto Datafolha between November 27 and December 3, 2017 indicates that 92% of VLT Carioca users, which circulates in the central region of Rio de Janeiro, evaluate the system in a positive way (good or very good). Seven out of ten passengers would recommend VLT as an efficient form of travel. The rating surpasses that of last year, which indicated 88% satisfaction. Done with 989 people during the operation of lines 1 and 2, both stops and vehicles, the analysis has a margin of error of 3 percentage points and a 95% trust index.
Rapidity was pointed out as the most important aspect (62%) for those who use the VLT. Comfort (93%) and operational safety (87%) were other aspects evaluated above average.
Datafolha shows that nearly half of the users (45%) use VLT with high frequency (between four and seven times a week), with more than 50% using in the system at least twice a day. Commuting to work (68%) is the main reason for using the modal.
