The United States Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) extended until July 14 the deadline for submitting the proposals for the study of asset management in the Brazilian rail passenger transport sector.

The study is part of the Cooperation Agreement between the USTDA and the National Association of Passenger Rail Operators (ANPTrilhos), which aims to help improve the management of metro-rail networks throughout Brazil.

The compensation for the asset management study it will be US$ 730,000, around R$ 4.15 million.

It is expected that the studies will be carried out within a year and involve the greatest specialists of the Brazilian operators, which will take part together with ANPTrilhos in the monitoring of the execution of all activities that will be carried out and also the approval of the products to be delivered by the contracted companies.
