ViaQuatro and ViaMobilidade, concessionaires responsible for the operation and maintenance of lines 4 – Yellow and 5 – Lilac of São Paulo subway, have intensified the hygiene protocols on the trains, which, in addition to manual cleaning, undergo a fogging process sanitizing dries, capable of eliminating suspended particles, droplets of saliva and dust from the environment. The action is part of the measures adopted by operators against the new coronavirus.

The sanitizing product applied has the approval of the National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa) and demonstrably does not pose a risk to human health or the environment. Once released into the air, it remains for up to 72 hours acting against microorganisms, although its fog dissipates in 6 minutes at most. The product is applied once a day to all available trains on each line, after the train has been retracted from the yard or on the non-operational platform of one of the terminal stations.
