In partnership with the private sector, the Vila Olímpia station, on Line 9-Esmeralda of the Companhia Paulista de Trens e Metropolitanos (CPTM), which operates trains in the Metropolitan Region of São Paulo, underwent a structural remodeling to reduce environmental impacts, with new equipment and infrastructure that benefit passengers, prioritize clean energy and preserve natural resources, and it is the first sustainable passenger station in São Paulo.

From now on, the station has its own infrastructure to generate, capture or reuse most of the inputs needed to operate the site. The modernization allows the station to reach up to 100% self-sufficiency in the months when there is availability for generation of clean energy or water reuse.
