Lines 8 and 9 of ViaMobilidade Consortium, formed by the groups CCR and Ruas Invest e Participações, won the international tender for the concession of the provision of public transport service for its 8-Diamond and 9-Emerald lines of the Companhia Paulista de Trens Metropolitanos (CPTM), operator of urban trains in the Metropolitan Region of São Paulo, with a proposal of R$ 980 million. The public session was held on March 20, at the B3 stock exchange, in the city of São Paulo.
The concession is for 30 years and provides for R$ 3.2 billion in investments to upgrade, adapt and modernize the infrastructure of the lines, including the purchase of 34 new trains.
Line 8-Diamond is 41.6 km long with 22 stations, which connect the Center of São Paulo from Julio Prestes Station to Itapevi at Amador Bueno Station. The line has Pátio Presidente Altino for maintenance and parking of trains. Line 9- Emerald connects Osasco to Grajaú, with 32.5 km and 18 stations.
