The National Association of Passenger Rail Operators (ANPTrilhos) and the Ministry of Infrastructure (MInfra), through the National Secretariat for Land Transport (SNTT), signed a Technical Cooperation Agreement (ACT), which will allow the discussion of possibilities to enable new forms of business involving rail transport passengers in Brazil. The agreement was signed by the Executive Director of ANPTrilhos, Roberta Marchesi, and the National Secretary for Land Transport, Marcello Costa, in Brasília.

With the agreement, efforts will be articulated for the implementation of measures for the training of civil workers of the Ministry of Infrastructure and related entities, the sharing of information, studies, projects and data among members; the production of material for publicizing the partnership and joint development projects on issues related to rail transport. In addition, technical support will be made available for the preparation of the guiding document for the National Passenger Rail Transport Policy and the Passenger Rail Transport Development Plan.
