ANPTrilhos meets Bahia’s Governor

Bahia’s Governor Rui Costa received the chiefs of ANPTrilhos in Salvador

The board of director of National Association of Passenger Rail Operators (ANPTrilhos), together with the presidents of the passenger rail systems operators and leaders of the Brazilian metrorail system, attended an audience with Bahia’s Governor Rui Costa, in Salvador city, in Bahia state.

The president of ANPtrilhos Joubert Flores has presented to the Governor the actions of ANPTrilhos for the development of Brazilian passengers rail transportation and has also congratulated the Government of Bahia for its accelerated development of the sector in the state. The executive has highlighted that in less than 4 years, since the implantation of the first tracks, the State of Bahia will have the third largest metro system in Brazil.

The model of the Private-Public Partnership (PPP) of Salvador’s Metro, in the capital of Bahia, was one of the subjects of the meeting. “The harmony between the Government and CCR Metrô Bahia was one of the positive aspects of our visit. No more than three years ago, the metro of Bahia was only a project and today it walsk towards becoming one of the biggest of Brazil, which is something that really needs to be shared” claimed the Superintendent of ANPTrilhos Roberta Marchesi after the audience with Bahia’s Governor
