An extension of agreement signed in September extended for 12 months the partnership between the Federal Government of Brazil, through the Ministry of Infrastructure, and the National Association of Passenger Rail Operators (ANPTrails) for the development of actions related to the preparation of a rail passenger transport policy.
The objective of the agreement is to promote an integrated national policy that contributes to the improvement of planning for passenger rail transport in the country. A series of activities have been programmed and are being carried out in order to produce a legislative instrument that will institutionalize the objectives, guidelines and the instruments that will guide the development of passenger rail transport.
