The Metro Company of the Federal District (Metrô-DF), operator of the Brasília Metro system, in the capital of Brazil, completed the installation of 55 thermal and visual cameras, used for thermal monitoring of users at all stations. Some still undergo testing.

Temperature measurement takes place via video and remotely, operated by special cameras and specific software, in order to make it easier for subway operators to identify users who may have fever, and to guide them in accordance with health safety protocols.

Monitoring is another measure planned by the Company to ensure the safety of passengers and employees at this time of pandemic.

The equipment was installed before the turnstiles, so any approach is made before the user enters the paid area of the system. The investment was around R$1.9 million.
