Experts debate metropolitan authority in Brazil

The creation of metropolitan transport authorities, which allows optimizing investments and boosting urban mobility structural projects, was defended by Brazilian experts at a seminar held in October in the city of São Paulo.

The president of National Association of Passenger Rail Operators (ANPTrilhos), Joubert Flores, participated in one of the panels and highlighted that urban mobility is a constitutional right and argued that to do so, proper planning and physical and tariff integration are required in all cities that form a metropolitan region.
