The City of Sorocaba, in the countryside of the State of São Paulo, has published a public call, which aims to gather companies interested in the elaboration of a model study for the implementation, operation and maintenance of Light Vehicle, and the redevelopment of the beltway and surroundings. The companies must present proposals until September 10, 2018.
The new service should be studied with implementation in the axis of the railway track that connects the East region to the Northwest region of the city, including the railway areas within the municipality and contemplating the adaptation to the parameters of preservation of the historical and cultural patrimony. With these studies, it will be possible to evaluate the use of the possible models of concession contracts, either in the common concession modality or in the sponsored concession mode (Public-Private Partnership sponsored) of the Light Rail system.
