The United States Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) announced on Monday (April 26) the opening of the international public call for the realization of two distinct studies: the first related to energy efficiency and the second to asset management, both linked to the Brazilian metro-rail sector. Proposals for the study of energy efficiency can be sent until June 18, 2021 and for asset management until July 2, 2021.
The studies are part of the grant of US $ 1.58 million, equivalent to over R$ 9 million, as a result of a Cooperation Agreement signed between USTDA and the National Association of Passenger Rail Operators (ANPTrilhos) for the realization studies aiming to collaborate with the improvement of the management of metro-rail networks throughout Brazil.
“Public passenger transport is experiencing a serious crisis around the world. Our cooperation with the USTDA will seek to improve efficiency and reduce costs related to asset and energy management, preparing Brazil’s passenger rail systems for fast recovery after the Covid-19 pandemic”, explains ANPTrilhos President, Joubert Flores.
The projection is that the studies will be carried out within one year and involve the greatest specialists of the Brazilian operators, who will participate, together with ANPTrilhos, in monitoring the execution of all activities that will be carried out and approval of the products to be delivered. contracted companies.
