The Minister of Infrastructure of Brazil, Marcelo Sampaio, received the Brazilian Association of the Railway Industry (ABIFER), the Interstate Union of the Railway and Highway Materials and Equipment Industry (SIMEFRE) and the National Association of Passenger Rail Operators (ANPTrilhos) to deal with the development of the sector and the publication of the National Policy for Passenger Rail Transport.
The Minister reinforced the agency’s commitment to the development of the regional passenger rail sector, which is working not only to establish the regulatory framework, but also to present a Development Plan for passenger rail to the market.
“We left the Ministry excited about the measures that are yet to come, in favor of passenger rail transport, the national industry, Brazil and all Brazilians. The sector is fully united and at the disposal of the Federal Government to contribute to this great legacy!”, emphasizes Roberta Marchesi, Executive Director of ANPTrilhos.
