The Brasília Environmental Institute (Ibram) has granted an environmental license for the expansion of Line 1 of Metro-DF in Samambaia, Administrative Region of the Federal District, in the Brazilian capital. The Companhia do Metropolitano do DF (Metrô-DF) can build another 3.6 km of track and two stations, benefiting approximately 8 thousand new users per day and raising the company’s revenue.
The license is a mandatory administrative procedure by which the environmental agency allows the location, installation, expansion and operation of enterprises, among others. The bidding notice must be relaunched next month.
