The Government of the State of Minas Gerais signed the concession contract for the Belo Horizonte subway, in the capital of Minas Gerais, for the Comporte group, winner of the Public-Private Partnership auction for the system.
Belo Horizonte has Line 1, with 19 stations, and 28.1 km connecting the cities of Belo Horizonte and Contagem. Comporte will be responsible for the modernization and expansion of Line 1 and the construction of Line 2, managing, operating and maintaining the services for 30 years. The expected investment is R$ 3.7 billion.
