The Empresa de Planejamento e Logística (EPL) of the Brazilian government released the first Logistics Bulletin of its National Observatory for Transport and Logistics (ONTL in Portuguese), which presents data on the panorama of urban mobility in Brazil and federal public investments in urban mobility and services, including the Covid pandemic period -19. The work was carried out in partnership with the National Association of Passenger Carriers on Railways (ANPTrilhos), which brings together operators of subway systems, urban trains and Light Rail Vehicles from all over Brazil and collects periodic information from their associated companies.
According to ONTL, in 2020, the Federal Government invested over R$ 3 billion in the infrastructure of cities, an increase of 11% in relation to 2019. For a more detailed monitoring of the sector, ONTL launched a panel with data on urban transport infrastructure and passenger flow in cities.
