The body temperature measurement cameras installed at the Lapa and Pirajá subway stations in Salvador, Bahia, monitored around 1.4 million passengers from June 1st to August 15th. The equipment was launched as a strategy to combat the spread of the new coronavirus.
Persons suspected of being infected with Covid-19 were approached by health agents appropriately trained for the action and sent for testing, at the stations themselves, where CCR Metrô Bahia provided rooms.
