The Ghanaian President and Minister of Transport signed a memorandum of understanding for the implementation of the Aeromovel System in Accra, the capital of South Africa. The agreement has been signed with the Ghana Infrastructure Investment Fund (GIIF) and should structure the system of public transport in the African city.
Aeromovel Brasil, ANPTrilhos’ associate, is responsible for the development and delivery of technology.
The means of transport of Aeromovel is characterized by being automated and in an elevated way, using the pneumatic propulsion system. A member of Grupo Coester, Aeromovel Brasil has developed the technology used by Trensurb, responsible for passenger transportation on rails in Rio Grande do Sul, which connects Salgado Filho International Airport and the operator’s train station in Porto Alegre. In addition to the Porto Alegre line, Aeromovel has a line in Jakarta, Indonesia, which has operated for 29 years and has transported more than 25 million passengers.
