The opening of the envelopes with the tender proposals for the implementation and operation of the Light Rail of Salvador, capital of Bahia, in the Brazilian Northeast, will be on April 4, at the headquarters of BM & FBovespa, in São Paulo, starting at 3pm.
The Light Rail will replace the current Trem do Subúrbio, which is about 20 kilometers long and has 22 stations, linking Comércio to Ilha de São João, in the town of Simões Filho. The estimated investment value is R$ 1.5 billion. The works will begin 90 days after signing of the contract, with a deadline of 24 months for conclusion.
